Set-Up and Training
For many companies the decision to establish a web site is the easy part of
incorporating the electronic world into the overall marketing program. Occasionally,
although desktop computers may be used for word processing and accounting, electronic mail
may not have been attempted much less access to the World Wide Web. Complicating matters
further, perhaps the company has a mix of computer types, say, Macintoshes and PC's. Hopwood
Associates will tailor training to help the company understand its new role in the web
world and familiarize employees with its use.
- Set-Up-- In the case of companies who are not yet connected to the
Internet and who do not use e-mail, Hopwood Associates will undertake a
technological survey of the installed computer equipment and make recommendations for the
hardware and software required to make this happen. Hopwood Associates can also
install this equipment and train the appropriate personnel on the maintenance required. In
addition, Hopwood Associates will train employees how to use e-mail programs
effectively.
- Internet/WWW Training--An understanding of how the Internet and World Wide
Web works often helps employees feel more comfortable in using new technology. By
conducting short training sessions Hopwood Associates acquaints the employees with
the basic technology and shows, by example, how different functions work.
